Frequently Asked Questions

The first step is to speak with a General Practitioner (GP) about the challenges you are experiencing. They will ask you some questions and may get you to complete a brief questionnaire to better understand your needs.

If psychological therapy is recommended, they will write a referral letter to your preferred psychologist and provide you with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP).

On booking your initial appointment with a psychologist please provide them with your referral letter & MHCP. You will be entitled to claim up to six rebates through Medicare. Rebates will be automatically deposited into your bank account linked to your Medicare card 24-48 hours after payment of your psychological therapy session.

On completion of your sixth psychological therapy session, your psychologist will write a letter to the referring GP and four further sessions may be requested within a calendar year.

Suli offers some bulk-billing appointments on a case-by-case basis. Please discuss your circumstances with Suli prior to booking your appointment.

If you are under 18 years of age, Suli will be required by law to speak with your parent/legal guardian, and they will need to sign a consent form so that you can access therapy.

When you meet Suli for the first time she will chat to you about confidentiality and privacy within sessions and the limits.
